Ridin' Pine Week 11 Picks

All times are 1:00 p.m. ET unless otherwise noted.

THURSDAY

Arizona @ Seattle 8:20 p.m. ET

  • Jake: Cardinals

  • Sam: Cardinals

  • Johnny: Cardinals

SUNDAY

New England @ Houston

  • Jake: Patriots

    • The Texans speedy receiving core will be tough for the Patriots to deal with, but with Gilmore coming back this week I think they can hold them well enough for the offense to run all over this brutal Texans defense.

  • Sam: Patriots

    • I hate to pick the Pats but they’ve looked great the past couple weeks, especially running the ball, which matches up well vs Houston.

Philadelphia @ Cleveland

  • Jake: Browns

  • Sam: Browns

    • Baker cycle continues! Time for “beat inferior opponent”

  • Johnny: Browns

    • @Sam you said there’s a disruption in the cycle, though.  The Browns will take this game and Wentz will continue to look like the wrong choice at QB for Philly.

Cincinnati @ Washington

  • Jake: Football Team

    • The Football team’s offense has looked MUCH better without Haskins under center and while the defense has been inconsistent despite loads of talent on the front seven, I think they’ll be able to hold the poorly coached Bengals this week.

  • Sam: Bengals

  • Johnny: Bengals

    • The 1st & 2nd overall picks are facing off today.  Really can’t have the Bengals let down Burrow against an inferior opponent like Washington.

Atlanta @ New Orleans

  • Jake: Saints

    • Taysom Hill could win this game by leading the running game because he’s playing against the Falcons, but he absolutely should not be starting.

  • Sam: Saints

    • Losing brees will be a significant problem for the Saints going forward, but in this matchup they’ll survive without him

  • Johnny: Saints

    • Taysom Hill will keep this team in contention, especially against Atlanta.  It’s really odd how Payton and the Saints have handled the Taysom Hill announcement with the media? I think they are trying to mess with Atlanta saying they dont plan on using Jameis, but we’ll see.  If you really weren’t going to use Jameis why would you say that if you DON’T HAVE TO

Pittsburgh @ Jacksonville

  • Jake: Steelers

  • Sam: Steelers

  • Johnny: Steelers

    • The Steelers could run the table, I’m scared

Detroit @ Carolina

  • Jake: Lions

    • I think PJ Walker absolutely belongs in this league, and I think at times he will be very fun to watch, but without Christian McCaffrey, the offense has too much to figure out this week.

  • Sam: Panthers

  • Johnny: Lions

    • If Teddy Bridgewater was active I’d say this game would be a coin flip, but he’s not so I’m taking the Lions.

    • I do think it would be very cool for PJ Walker, former XFL Star, to do well.  It would mean a lot more for the game of football for an Undrafted NFL to XFL to NFL guy give hope to all of those guys fighting for an opportunity out there and maybe get a chance if Walker does well today, it could give them a little promise, a little hope, and a little light at the end of their tunnel to the dream.

Tennessee @ Baltimore

  • Jake: Ravens

    • Run game v. Run game. I can’t see the Ravens putting up the same type of game they did last week, and I don’t think they will. The Titans are certainly a good team, and they made the Ravens look bad last year in the playoffs, but I just find it hard to believe that the Ravens won’t come out with a vengeance in this one.

  • Sam: Ravens

  • Johnny: Ravens

    • I will be rooting for the Titans but I don’t think Harbaugh makes the same mistakes he did in the Divisional round last year.  With that said, Baltimore hasn’t beat anyone good this year, but I think this will be their resume win of the season so far.

New York (A) @ Los Angeles (A) 4:05 p.m. ET

  • Jake: Chargers

  • Sam: Chargers

    • This game is probably the Jets best chance at a win, but with a depleted secondary, an injured quarterback (don't even get me started), and Adam Gase still as coach, they don't have a shot. In an alternate reality where the team is healthy and Gase was fired pre-season this is a 60-40 game in the Jets favor.

  • Johnny: Chargers

    • It will be a shock to see the New Jersey Jets win a game this year

Miami @ Denver 4:05 p.m. ET

  • Jake: Dolphins

    • Tua time.

  • Sam: Dolphins

  • Johnny: Dolphins

    • Even if Lock plays Miami will take this one

Green Bay @ Indianapolis 4:25 p.m. ET

  • Jake: Packers

  • Sam: Packers

  • Johnny: Packers

    • Very unbiased of me

Dallas @ Minnesota 4:25 p.m. ET

  • Jake: Vikings

  • Sam: Vikings

  • Johnny: Vikings

    • I love Kirk Cousins but it would be very Kirk Cousins to lose this game after getting his FIRST EVER MNF Victory

Kansas City @ Las Vegas 8:20 p.m. ET

  • Jake: Chiefs

    • They can’t lose to the Raiders again. I still believe the Raiders are doing exactly what the Bears did at the beginning of the season, and I think it’s just taken longer for them to get exposed.

  • Sam: Chiefs

  • Johnny: Chiefs

    • Like I said on the show: The Raiders need to do the same thing as they did offensively week 5 and be even better defensively in the red area.  I don’t think they can pull of the sweep.

MONDAY

Los Angeles (N) @ Tampa Bay 8:15 p.m. ET

  • Jake: Buccaneers

    • Aaron Donald is a brutal matchup for Tom Brady, who has notoriously struggled with the interior rush.

  • Sam: Buccaneers

  • Johnny: Buccaneers

    • Aaron Donald’s performance will determine the outcome of this game
