Sam 49-26
Johnny 46-25
THURSDAY
ABC vs NBC
Jake: NBC
Sam: ?????
Johnny: I think NBC is going to take the ratings win on this Town Hall extravaganza
SUNDAY
Denver @ New England
Jake: Patriots
The Covid bug has struck the Patriots, possibly worse than every other team, however the seriously depleted Broncos are not getting the easiest matchup with the Patriots essentially coming off of a bye. While Newton could be back in this game, I’m not sure it matters who’s starting for the Pats in this one.
Sam: Patriots
The Broncos are really bad. Yes they have a handful of players down to covid but everybody else should be well rested. This won't be a problem.
Cincinnati @ Indianapolis
Jake: Colts
Sam: Colts
Johnny: Colts
I know Burrow has been playing well and this is a much easier opponent than last week’s Ravens matchup, but the Colts are also coming off a loss and need this win even more than the Bengals do
Houston @ Tennessee
Jake: Titans
Sam: Titans
The Titans proved themselves to me with that huge win over buffalo last week. This team may be for real. The Texans also (finally) won last week, but it was vs the Jaguars.
Johnny: Texans
Romeo has nothing to lose right now, he knows he won’t get the HC job down there in Houston but he is playing for a job when the new HC cleans house and will take down the Titans who are on a short “COVID Week” this week
Cleveland @ Pittsburgh
Jake: Steelers
The Browns have had their fun, but it’s time for them to face a real football team, and with the Steelers staunch run defense, the Browns are gonna need more than just Kareem Hunt to win this game. I wouldn’t bet on Baker here.
Sam: Browns
Never would have expected to pick this game but they've played great and I have to hand it to ‘em. The Steelers are “undefeated” but they've played only awful teams. They’ll see their first loss this week.
Johnny: Steelers
Tough one this week, this is going to be a lot closer than people think, also Jake, the Browns are a real football team, too
Baltimore @ Philadelphia
Jake: Ravens
Sam: Ravens
duh
Johnny: Ravens
Washington @ New York (N)
Jake: Giants
The Football team’s offense is in shambles, and with both Allen and Smith struggling to get chemistry with their best pass catchers in their first week—McLaurin and Gibson—and the Football Team’s strength (their pass rush) being depleted, I think Daniel Jones finds a way to pull through.
Sam: Football Team
The Football Team has had injury problems all year and wasn't great to begin with, but i promise you Daniel Jones will find a way to blow it.
Johnny: Skins
Atlanta @ Minnesota
Jake: Vikings
Sam: Vikings
Johnny: Vikings
Hotlanta is a hot mess!
Detroit @ Jacksonville
Jake: Jaguars
Sam: Jaguars
Johnny: Jaguars
Chicago @ Carolina
Jake: Panthers
The Bears are 4-1 but they haven’t looked great doing it. Meanwhile Teddy Bridgewater and Mike Davis are rolling on offense. The loss of Gross-Matos is a killer for the Panthers, but I’m still going with the Panthers in this one.
Sam: Panthers
Teddy Bridgewater has played like an elite QB so far this season and Mike David has picked up right where McCaffery left off. Also Da Bears are a weak 4-1.
Johnny: Bears
New York (A) @ Miami 4:05 p.m. ET
Jake: Dolphins
Sam: Dolphins
Darnold is still out. Fitzpatrick is always liable for a 4 pick blow up, but without Darnold it’ll be a tough one to win even if that does happen.
Johnny: Dolphins
Green Bay @ Tampa Bay 4:25 p.m. ET
Jake: Packers
I really really want to pick the Bucs here, but team cohesion still seems to be a struggle for them. Rodgers has looked fantastic through his first 4 weeks, and their defense has been fantastic as well. Tough to pick against them here.
Sam: Packers
Johnny: Buccaneers
ARodg completes 28.6% of his passes when pressured which is basically last (32nd) in the league. Brady needs to protect the ball, keep being the most accurate QB in the league downfield, and be the GOAT
Los Angeles @ San Francisco 8:20 p.m. ET
Jake: Rams
Sam: 49ers
The 49ers have looked dreadful this year, but I’m not ready to quit on them yet.
Johnny: 49ers
Copy & paste what Sam said
MONDAY
Kansas City @ Buffalo 5:00 p.m. ET
Jake: Chiefs
Both teams are coming off brutal losses last week, but the Chiefs are still the defending Super Bowl champions, and have more or less looked still looked like a top 3 team this year.
Sam: Chiefs
The Bills secondary will be a very fun matchup to watch vs the Chiefs pass attack, but even the Bills won't be able to fully contain Mahomes. This game may be closer than some expect but I’m still confident KC comes out on top.
Johnny: Chiefs
Arizona @ Dallas 8:15 p.m. ET
Jake: Cardinals
Andy Dalton looked surprisingly good in relief for the injured Dak Prescott in week 5, but this Cards defense is a tougher test. The Cardinals offense has been inconsistent, but this is a winnable game for them.
Sam: Cardinals
Johnny: Cardinals
Murray and Kingsbury are going to take advantage of Dalton being Dalton
