THURSDAY
Carolina @ Atlanta 8:20 p.m. ET
Jake: Falcons
Sam: Pathers
Johnny: Panthers
SUNDAY
New England @ Buffalo
Jake: Bills
Sam: Bills
If the Patriots can win this one it’ll be huge for establishing themselves as a playoff contender. I don’t think they’ll be able to do that tho. They’re Quarterback situation looks hopeless and it’ll only be made worse by the absence of Julian Edelman.
Los Angeles (N) @ Miami
Jake: Rams
Sam: Rams
Johnny: Rams
Tua is not ready for what Donald and the rest of the Rams DLine can do. Yes, the Dolphins are coming off of a bye but LA is trying to keep up with Seattle and stay ahead of the 9ers and doesn’t want to miss a beat
New York (A) @ Kansas City
Jake: Chiefs
Sam: Chiefs
Johnny: Chiefs
Should this even count toward our record?
Minnesota @ Green Bay
Jake: Packers
Sam: Packers
Johnny: Packers
The Vikings just aren’t there. I don’t think they should trade Thielen, though. With Jefferson showing a lot of promise, adding another piece next year could make this team compete again.
Indianapolis @ Detroit
Jake: Colts
Stafford is hot, but the Colts secondary leads the league in interceptions in 2020, and though Stafford isn’t reckless by any means, he certainly isn’t Alex Smith-level conservative either. Colts second round pick receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is also playing his first game after being on IR, so it will be interesting to see if Philip Rivers develops a rapport with him.
Sam: Lions
Johnny: Lions
Oakland @ Cleveland
Jake: Raiders
Cue Sam with the “Baker Mayfield cycle”. The Raiders record doesn’t look great, but they’ve played some really tough teams such as the Bucs, the Pats and the Chiefs. The Browns on the other hand have two of their wins against the Bengals, and still have a QB who could implode at any time into a 3 interception day.
Sam: Raiders
The Baker Mayfield cycle is real! And it’s time for “play like S**t”
Johnny: Browns
The Raiders have a lot at stake this weekend with LAC playing DEN, they won’t be able to capitalize with one of them losing
Tennessee @ Cincinnati
Jake: Titans
Sam: Titans
Johnny: Titans
The Bengals will fail Burrow. #BengalsFailBurrow should be trending at 3:30 p.m. Sunday
Los Angeles (A) @ Denver 4:05 p.m. ET
Jake: Chargers
Sam: Chargers
Johnny: Chargers
These 2 QBs will match up for a long time in the AFC West, Herbert will win most of the time
New Orleans @ Chicago 4:25 p.m. ET
Jake: Saints
Sam: Saints
Drew Brees is having a quietly strong season and the bears are falling off fast.
Johnny: Saints
I wouldn’t be surprised if Foles takes this matchup, especially with Michael Thomas out AGAIN
San Francisco @ Seattle 4:25 p.m. ET
Jake: Seahawks
Bad week for the Seahawks last week, but the Cardinals are still a tougher matchup than this year’s depleted 9ers team. This is a get right game for Russell Wilson, and a chance for DK Metcalf to blow up against this Cover 3 base defense, after he put up 80 and a TD against the 49ers in the playoffs last season.
Sam: Seahawks
Johnny: 49ers
Dallas @ Philadelphia 8:20 p.m. ET
Jake: Eagles
I hate that I have to pick the eagles here.
Sam: Eagles
Johnny: Eagles
Congrats to the Eagles on beating another garbage football club
MONDAY
Tampa Bay @ New York (N) 8:15 p.m. ET
Jake: Buccaneers
Sam: Buccaneers
Time to find out if the Giants are “Brady kryptonite” or just “Patriots kryptonite”
Johnny: Buccaneers
Brady’s only kryptonite… but it’s not the playoffs
