Not as many people commute to work anymore, not as many kids are commuting to school each morning, but much of Massachusetts is still expected to get a rare pre-Christmas Nor'Easter, now known by the name of Winter Storm Gail.
Almost everyone is saying it will get going late Wednesday night, but as to the accumulations, everyone is saying something a little different, as usual.
Here's what the major outlets in the Boston market are saying:
WBZ (CBS) Chief Meteorologist Eric Fisher & Exec. Weather Producer Terry Eliason:

Tuesday night update:
Well this is fun. If I had to do this for Boston, it would be:
— Eric Fisher (@ericfisher) December 16, 2020
Forecast: 8-12"
Boom: 12-16"
Bust: 5-8" https://t.co/WAtvRuF8P1
This is from Tuesday afternoon:
And the updated snow amounts. The main change vs yesterday is a significant increase to interior areas NW of Boston. Also increased mixing chance and lowered amounts some on Cape Cod/Islands. #wbz pic.twitter.com/ONV8hOkstl
— Eric Fisher (@ericfisher) December 15, 2020
Fisher also notes on Twitter the "Nor'Easter" will start "very late Wednesday" and last until "Thursday evening." He is saying the snow will be wetter as you get further towards the Cape which includes parts of the South Shore. Fisher also says we could have a "white Christmas."
WCVB (ABC) Chief Meteorologist Harvey Leonard:Will this last for a White Christmas? Probably will come down to the next storm, which should arrive right before or on Christmas. Looks like a toss-up from a distance. pic.twitter.com/yhUirglSh1

Oh, boy. Bumping up those #snow totals just a bit this morning. This is going to be a big one, folks. Who's ready? The EyeOpener will be on early -- Thursday at 4am! #wcvb pic.twitter.com/feImKalLSy

WHDH (Channel 7) Chief Meteorologist Jeremy Reiner & Meteorologist Josh Wurster:

Tuesday evening predictions:

Channel 7 upped their predictions Wednesday evening to keep up with the rest of the media
WFXT (FOX) Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz:
Wednesday night update from meteorologist Vicki Graf:
SNOW MAP: Just went over the latest data with @kevinboston25 - we have a long way to go with this storm, stay with @boston25 for the latest. pic.twitter.com/pUCUMQcAx4

Boston 25 upgraded from this Tweet Tuesday afternoon:
It's important to understand that this map is a WORK IN PROGRESS. There WILL be higher totals in some towns. We're still fine tuning the number so you must check back on @boston25 pic.twitter.com/iDPBzrSLEA

WBTS (NBC) Chief Meteorologist Matt Noyes:
Wednesday morning update:
Airing now on @nbc10boston and @necn...notice the notch of lesser amounts in Southeast NH to the MA border owing to dry air eating away at snow (we'll watch to be sure that doesn't expand)...and in Southeast areas due to wet snow/mixing (change to rain on Cape). pic.twitter.com/3MjU94aVxG
— Matt Noyes NBC10 Boston & NECN (@MattNBCBoston) December 16, 2020
From Tuesday morning:
Still live on @necn right now if you want the full monty, but here's the map I aired since 4 AM today on @nbc10boston and @necn. One thing I mentioned: it's human nature to focus on the highest number, but I actually think lots of 12-14 in that 12-18" area, but locally highest 18 pic.twitter.com/5UsnPu5moj
— Matt Noyes NBC10 Boston & NECN (@MattNBCBoston) December 15, 2020
Noyes is shooting the highest with he being the first in the market to predict 18" South of Boston.
This will continue to be updated until snowfall commences.
