The Cleveland Browns are hosting the Baltimore Ravens tonight at 8:15 p.m. ET in an AFC North battle with serious playoff implications.
The Browns are 9-3 and have 2 wins against .500+ teams. The 7-5 Ravens have just 2 wins as well against .500+ teams, one of which came week 1 against their opponent tonight.
A LOT has changed since Baltimore's week 1 blowout over Cleveland. This going to be a battle of 2 rushing powerhouses against 2 of the best rush defenses in the AFC. Here's how the teams have shaped out this year:
Pass Yards Allowed:
- NFL:
- BAL 4th
- CLE 17th
- AFC:
- BAL 2nd
- CLE 8th
Rush Yards Allowed:
- NFL:
- CLE 5th
- BAL 9th
- AFC:
- CLE 1st
- BAL 4th
Points Allowed:
- NFL:
- BAL 1st
- CLE 15th
- AFC:
- BAL 1st
- CLE 4th
Rushing Yards:
- AFC:
- BAL 2nd
- CLE 4th
Offense Red Area %:
- NFL:
- CLE 6th
- BAL 25th
Another thing to note is Baltimore sits DEAD LAST in the AFC in passing yards. Yes, behind the New Jersey Jets.
Also, with all of the shade towards Baker Mayfield out in the media, the Browns have the 6th least turnovers in the league, compared to the Ravens being in the middle of the pack.
Cleveland currently holds the 1st AFC Wild Card spot and will hold that with a loss due to their head to head victories over Indianapolis and Tennessee. Also, after Pittsburgh's 2nd consecutive loss yesterday, the Browns could make a run at a home playoff game.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN from FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.
